Paul McCartney has officially announced that he will perform the first concerts at the New Mets’ Stadium Citi Field. The concerts will be held July 17th and 18th, but additional shows could be added. Tickets for the concerts will go on sale to the general public beginning June 15th. McCartney is also slated to play two concerts at historic Fenway Park in Boston in August, but those concerts have yet to be officially confirmed by McCartney’s camp.
Miley Cyrus is preparing a 2009 fall concert tour of the US and the UK! Miley, who plays Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel, recently signed up for a forth season of the high rated television program. Tickets for Miley Cyrus will go on sale to fan club members beginning June 8th and to the rest of the public beginning June 14th.

The 80th Major League Baseball All-Star Game remains Stubhub’s number one event for Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Stubhub states that other hot tickets are the Mets and Rays visiting the New Yankees Stadium, the Manny-less Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Twins visiting Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field, the George Strait concert at the New Dallas Cowboys Stadium, UFC 100 and Elton John and Billy Joel at Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia.

Summer Concerts 2009
There are a plethora of concert tours coming to arenas and amphitheatres across the US and Canada in the Summer of 2009. Hot tours include The Jonas Brothers, No Doubt, coldplay, the Phish Reunion tour, Taylor Swift solo and also with Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Beyonce, Kid Rock with Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Legend, Jay-Z with Ciara, Green Day, Nickelback, Green Day, blink-182, Rascal Flatts, Bob Dylan, Boston rockers Aerosmith and Australian legends AC/DC. Other Summer Concert tours of note include Eric Clapton with Steve Winwood, Jimmy Buffett, Demi Lovato, Depeche Mode, Creed, Fleetwood Mac, Tool, Wilco and Santana.
Hot concert festivals this summer include Lollapalooza, All Points West, Rothbury and Bonnaroo.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play at the Giants Stadium with three concerts planned for September 30th, October 2nd and October 3rd. Giants Stadium is sheduled to be torn down after the 2009 NFL football season. Springsteen announced news of the concerts at a concert at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey on May 21. Tickets will to go on sale to the general public on Ticketmaster.com beginning June 1, 2009. Springsteen plans to sell general admission tickets only for the field of the stadium for all three concerts. Let’s hope fans of the band have more luck purchasing tickets to the Giants Stadiums Springsteen concerts than they had purchasing tickets to the Izod Center shows.
Reunited punk pop rockers Blink-182 have announced details of their upcoming summer concert tour. This concert tour will be their first since breaking-up five years ago and will feature an amazing selection of special opening acts at various venues including Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Panic At The Disco, The All-American Rejects and Taking Back Sunday. Blink has also announced that amphitheater shows will feature lawn tickets at the low price of $20. The tour will begin in Las Vegas in July and tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning May 30th.
