If you believe the UK Sun, The Kings of Heavy Metal, Led Zeppelin, have been offered some of the O2 London dates left open by Michael Jackson’s death. Swedish supergorup ABBA have also reportedly been offered some of MJ’s concert dates. I’d love to see Led Zep, or even Pink Floyd, Cream, The Kinks or a Face reunion.
Footage of the King of Pop’s, Michael Jackson’s last full concert rehearsal of his This Is It concert tour was released by tour organizer AEG Live today. Reportedly the entire rehearsal was recorded in HD and may be released at some point into the future. Media coverage of Michael Jackson’s death is like the coverage of the OJ trial plus the coverage of Elvis dying. The Neverland properties will become Graceland plus Disney World. There are also reports of hundreds of unreleased songs by Michael and with the likes of will.i.am, Kanye West, Akon and many half finished songs, plus multiple live concert recordings of Michael. Michael’s sudden death now seems fitting as he often compared himself to Peter Pan who never wanted to grow up. Michael will be worth twenty times dead as he was alive.
Great video of the Jonas Brothers perfroming World War III live in concert in Denver in 2009/

Michael Jackson may have saved the tabloid news, magazine, and publishing industries. Records are not selling like they used to, Michael Jackson may have needed to tour in order to make up for lost record royalties. In death, Micheal Jackson may make up to twenty times in one year that he made in any year he lived and worked. In the aftermath of Michael Jackson’s death, MJ scored nine of the top ten tracks on iTunes and also held nine of the top 10 albums on iTunes. Word is that Michael Jackson has about 100 unreleased songs. Plus Jackson’s rehearsals at he Staples Center were video taped and may be released in the future.
In the future, there may be bigger celebrities that Michael Jackson, but there will never be another one with as much talent aura and odd behavior as Jackson. In some ways, his death reminds me of the death of Kurt Cobain, whose group Nirvana, pushed Michael Jackson’s Bad off the top spot of Billboard albums. Both artists seemed troubled, talented beyond belief, unable to cope with a comeback or acheive anything greater than they achieved in the past and are sorely missed.
AEG is offering a full refund including handling charges for the unused tickets for Jackson’s proposed 50 date London concert comeback. AEG is also offering purchasers to keep the ticket with out any refund. AEG may change its mind at some point and decide to offer the opportunity for Michael fans to keep their tickets as a momento for a nominal fee.
